Le Cuvier

www.lcwine.com/

Le Cuvier is devoted to producing wines of uncommon distinction, stemming from native yeast fermentation & extended barrel aging in neutral oak. Founder John Munch began his winemaking adventures in Paso Robles more than 30 years ago. In 2000, he partnered with Mary Fox & opened the Le Cuvier tasting room, where ever since we have presented a dynamic lineup of wines made from grapes grown in the rugged limestone-studded hills of Paso Robles. At Le Cuvier, the entire process of winemaking is left to the "wild beasties," while all human interaction is firmly dedicated to making life interesting & nothing more.

Please visit us at our hilltop location, which is a mere 4 miles from downtown Paso Robles & offers wondrous views of wine country. Tastings with exquisitely prepared food pairings are offered every day from 11 to 5.

2005 Pinot Noir – The first Le Cuvier Pinot Noir since 1993. Pinots are typically catalogued as being “feminine,” which is a sexist way of implying that the wines are timid little ladies who would never even countenance an indelicate thought. In this case think biker chick in black leather chaps with dozens of florid tattoos of ripe plumbs, raspberries & chocolate wrapped in tobacco leaf. Vineyard: 100% Jack Creek Vineyard
